FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Wingsuit flying is one of the disciplines of skydiving, like canopy piloting, freefly or angle tracking.
To start wingsuit, you will have to become first an autonomous skydiver and complete around 200 jumps depending on your local regulation.
This usually takes around 2 to 3 years to complete, but the learning is actually quite fun, so enjoy it !
Look for your local Dropzone, do a tandem with them and after landing ask about their AFF course to get started 🙂
Mama Wingsuit is a french team based around Paris. We mainly jump and coach at 3 skydiving locations :
- Lannion : 7ème Ciel Parachutisme
- Le Blanc : EFP Le Blanc
- Châlon-sur-Saône : Parachutisme71
We typically exit the plan at 4000m above see level but special jumps can sometimes go as high as 6000m (with oxygen available in the plane) or even higher (with oxygen available during the freefall as well)
From 4000m, we freefall until about 1000m where we open our parachutes. Depending on the size of the wingsuit, that freefall time can last between 1m20s and 3 minutes !
